Logitech QuickCam

Logitech QuickCam is a line of video camera webcams produced, of course, by Logitech. There are so many cameras in this range now, each offering something different. Some of the newer models, of course, offer more exciting and impressive features, but some are just basic webcams. It all depends on what you want to use your webcam for. There is a camera in this range to suit everyone’s needs, you should, however, consider all of the different features and prices. Let’s take a look at some of the video camera webcams from the Logitech QuickCam range.

Firstly, let’s take a look at the Logitech QuickCam Sphere/Orbit. The first plus point, is that it is a color webcam, there’s nothing worse than a webcam that only transmits black and white images. It features a one hundred and eighty degree swivel lens, allowing you to broadcast a larger range of images. It is easy to install too. You plug the USB cable of the Logitech QuickCam Sphere/Orbit into the USB port of your computer. Once this is done, all you have to do is to install the drivers that come with the camera itself, and you are ready to get broadcasting. It can cost up to two hundred dollars, and probably more, so it is slightly more expensive than some may wish to pay.

The next webcam to consider is the Logitech QuickCam Communicate. This particular camera is designed to work with applications such as Skype, Windows Messenger, AIM, and also, Logitech Video Call itself. An obvious plus point to the Logitech QuickCam Communicate, is the build in microphone. This allows you to communicate via video call easily, and also makes it possible for you to have a clear conversation. The webcam itself is fully compatible with all major messenger and video calling services. As with the previous camera, the Logitech QuickCam Communicate is connected to the computer via a USB cable, so it is very easy to install. At a price of fifty nine dollars, this camera is much more affordable.

A final camera in the Logitech QuickCam range to have a look at is the Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000. This is only a little bit more expensive than the previous camera mentioned, so still offers an affordable price, with a few extra features. To start with, this camera has a sensitive motion detector, meaning that movements don’t become blurred whilst you are broadcasting from wherever you are. It also has low light sensitivity which means that you can still broadcast a clear picture, even with dimmed lights. As with the other two webcams, the installation process couldn’t be simpler. You just plug the camera into the computer via a standard USB cable, and install the drivers provided.

There are many, many more webcams available in the Logitech QuickCam range. There are the really expensive ones, that are more advanced, and then there are the less expensive ones, that still offer some impressive features. Logitech have also designed the camera to be more suited for specific uses. For example, there are cameras in the range that are specifically designed to use with video calling, messenger services and talking online. Then there are others that are designed to work with high motion detectors. Whatever it is that you need a webcam for; it is very likely that there will be a camera in the Logitech QuickCam range to suit your requirements, and usually at a very reasonable price. Be sure to read consumer reviews, and also to check that you have the correct computer system to run it with. Shop around for prices to get the best offer; you will be surprised what you can find if you look thoroughly.
